The kmz.me links above do not work for me. But after doing a Google search it appears there are different versions to the story. Several websites report the victim was mentally ill and schizophrenic and there are also reports that he didn't die. I watched the video (including audio) on LiveLeak.com and while I certainly don't condone the actions by Willie Dennis and Bobby Joe Blythe, I can understand how this escalated.

Here's an interesting link with more details about the incident:

Now that article is COMPLETELY over the top. We do NOT know it is murder and the folks who wrote that article are doing our search for the victim a great disservice, IMO. The absolute best we can say is that a few medical folks stated that based upon the injuries that were received - using the metal stand as an anvil while the victim's head was stomped into it multiple times, etc. - and the quick view of the victim's breathing and quick blood loss is that absent medical care which we do not know if he received or not, we think he might have died.

Bottom line, we need a name for the victim. It is very possible that he lived. He may have been dumped in DC or Maryland (all close to Dumfries by auto) and received medical care. We don't know. What I posted is only a search for the victim's identification and to lobby the appropriate agencies to investigate (which they are now doing). The rest is Police business.

Thanks for the link - I wasn't aware of that particular article.

This issue is not being let go (which is good IMO), there are a lot of people who are devoting time and effort to track down Bobby Joe Blythe (the Dojo Master), who apparently is a real POS and Willie J Dennis (the student who did the attack)

Here is a link to a website devoted to the victim, worth a quick read and they actually site the source of their information, doesn't mean it's true or false but at least they provide a link to check it out yourself.

http://www.justice4kungfuguy.com/faq.php

and a link to bullshido; which apparently instrumental in getting a lot of this going and staying on top of it.

I've been digging up information on this since it was posted, you can tell by watching the vid that this guys was set up to get his a$$ kicked, Blythe is condescending in his demeanor and tone and Willie Dennis has bad intentions in his physical actions even before it starts, he shadows this guys every move in an aggressive fashion and even closes the distance between himself and the guy several times while removing the distance between the guy and the wall. You know this is going to end bad within the first 60 seconds of the video.

This is not what MA or MMA is about; absolutely no respect shown to this individual what so ever.

I don't think people are going to let this issue go away and it shouldn't.

NOPE, we're not - even though lots of folks would love to see us drop this. Glad to see another one of us is collecting watches.

Great summation of the case, BTW.

I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around something like this happening. And all of those people who just stood around.

I know what you are talking about, it is appalling to say the least. This is purely conjecture but the cavalier attitude indicates to me that this is not a first time or isolated incident.

Truly a display of disregard for a human being; there would be probably more outrage from the general public and media attention if this abuse happened to a dog. Just my opinion.

I am actually surprised that this has not received wider coverage in the news media. But, I'm guessing that the reason is that most news media today is sensationalilst in nature and this does not seem to have those "tasty" elements of a sensational story. That's a sad statement on the state of the media today. Now, had everyone else in the footage of the incident been white, including the assailant (plus the fact that some, or most, are either police and/or military), and the victim still be who he is, this would have received far more attention. Sad, but true.
